Marsha Woody Academy of Dance announces the 2011 Summer Workshop offering ballet with Director Marsha Woody, jazz including hip-hop with Tammy Anderud, and guest ballet teachers.
Classes for students ages 8 through adults will be held July 5-8, and July 11-14. July 4 is a Monday, so because of the holiday, classes of that week will be held Tuesday through Friday. The following week, classes will be Monday through Thursday. Summer classes are designed for interested students who wish to continue their classes and keep their bodies in better condition. Summer is a perfect time for concentrated study when students are free from school, homework, etc. Tammy Anderud will be teaching jazz classes every Wednesday during the workshop, so ponytails are welcome for jazz.
The attire for girls is black leotard, pink tights and shoes for ballet; jazz classes will be black jazz pants, black leotard, beige jazz shoes. Boys will wear black tights or jazz pants with black or white tops, white shoes and socks. (Some boys’ scholarships will be available.)

SUMMER CLASS SCHEDULES
Division I – Intermediate – 8-11 years old and BCB Junior Company dancers
Ballet & Jazz – 4 days each week – 10:30-12:00 a.m. - $70.00 per week
Jazz Only – Wednesday only each week – 10:30-12:00 a.m. - $20.00 per week
Division II – Junior/Senior – 12 years and older and BCB Sr. Appr. & Senior Company
Ballet & Jazz – 4 days each week – 12:00-2:00 p.m. - $90.00 per week
Jazz Only – Wednesday only each week – 12:00-2:00 p.m. - $25.00 per week
Variations & Pointe – Division II –
Tuesday & Thursday – 2:00-3:00 p.m. - $25.00 per week
